Tie-dye is an ancient technique born in the East and brought to Africa as a fashionable pattern imbued with individuality and freedom, as expressed in this long dress. Made in Dar es Salaam, the tie-dye was hand-made by Sifa, a women's collective dedicated to empowering women through education and training.

• Small imperfections and different shades of color are a sign that each garment is unique and made entirely by hand.

We recommend that you wash the garment by hand, separately, in cold water, at least at the beginning. Tie-dye is an artisanal dyeing technique, and it's normal for the garment to lose some color.

For the same reason, the first few times you wear it, it may release some color on white garments.
